Get ready for a journey that goes beyond destinations — a journey that transforms your perspective.
We begin in Pakistan’s vibrant capital, Islamabad, where the energy of the city meets the serenity of the Margalla Hills. From here, we set out on a 15-day adventure deep into the heart of the northern mountains — where hospitality is legendary, cultures are ancient, and the landscapes are unlike anywhere else on earth.
Our first major stop is Shandur, home to the highest polo ground in the world, followed by a cultural dive into the Kalash Valleys, where the indigenous Kalashi people — with roots tracing back to Alexander the Great — preserve their unique traditions to this day.
We’ll traverse historic villages of Hunza, ascend the awe-inspiring Khunjerab Pass at 15,400 ft, and reach the China-Pakistan border via the iconic Karakoram Highway — a marvel of engineering that challenges even the most experienced riders.
But the true test — and the crown jewel of the expedition — lies in Shimshal Valley. Known for its raw isolation and daring terrain, the off-road track here is famously called the “death road.” This route demands courage and resilience as it takes you over gravel, sand, rock beds, and icy water crossings — all carved into the edges of towering mountains.
As we return to Islamabad, one thing becomes clear — the mountains haven’t just been a backdrop, they’ve become part of you. You’ll leave with a new understanding of Pakistan, and a lasting connection to the wild beauty of its north.
